FIABCI-Taiwan Board Meeting laid out annual plans and expressed condolences to Myanmar and Thailand
FIABCI-Taiwan board members gathered for the first time in 2025 online on March 31st to discuss some of the timely issues for the chapter, including verifying the 2024 annual report and laying out the events for the year 2025. Some of the chapter’s upcoming events include our annual forum on FIABCI-Taiwan’s prix d’excellence awards, annual outing events, as well as our signature event, the 2025 FIABCI-Taiwan Real Estate Excellence Awards. The chapter is also very excited to observe a significant growth in membership due to FIABCI’s recent introduction of the FCP programme, and board members are well informed about future FIABCI global events, including the World Congress in Lagos and Global Leadership Summit in Panama.
A recent key event is the chapter’s morning talk that is taking place next week, with Mr. Jim Lin from Sanlien Technology as the speaker this time. Founded half a decade ago, Sanlien Technology is now one of the world’s leaders in providing monitoring solutions, including early warning systems for earthquakes, and chapter Vice President Tim Lin proudly shared that one of Sanlien’s earthquake monitoring systems is in fact installed in the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok. Vice President Lin also informed fellow board members how this monitoring system played a role in the recent incident. Considering the unfortunate events that has just occurred, this morning talk event is particularly highly expected among our board members and other stakeholders.
The tragical collapse of the State Audit Office building in Bangkok also further reminded us how our works here at FIABCI are imperative, as our prix d’excellence awards have always emphasized not only the cutting-edge design concepts but also impeccable building quality and safety measures. In Taiwan, structural strengthening design for earthquake-prone areas and steel bar reinforcement techniques have long been highlighted.
To conclude the meeting, chapter President Lily Chang and the entire board join FIABCI Headquarters and fellow chapters in expressing our sincere condolences to all the lives lost in Myanmar and Thailand.
